Online Payments

 

Payments for practical course materials (Art, Home Economics, Design & Technology) can now be made through mygovscot myaccount, which many parents & carers have already been using to pay online for school meals.

At the moment payment can still be made in school by cash or cheque, but we would encourage as many parents/carers as possible to use the online system both for practical course charges and also for school meals

If you have already registered for myaccount and  linked your child to your account, you need take no action, as you will automatically be emailed through myaccount if any charges are due for payment.

If you have registered for myaccount, but have not linked your child, or you have not registered for myaccount, you will receive a letter from school giving you a LINK KEY for your child.

 


I have registered for myaccount but I haven’t linked my child(ren)

 

Step 1: Visit the Aberdeenshire Council website. Choose Pay from the list of Online services, then select School payments.

 

Step 2. Sign in

 

Step 3: Click on the Accounts tab and select Link Account.  Enter the LINK KEY from the letter you received from school into the Account Ref box. Click Link Account. If you have further children to link click Link Another Account and add the reference number(s) for any additional children.

 


I haven’t  registered with myaccount

 

Step 1: Visit the Aberdeenshire Council website. Choose Pay from the list of Online services, then select School payments.

 

Step 2 Click on Register then click Create New Account.

 

(Please note if you (parent/carer) have an NEC card you can click USE YOUR NEC NUMBER  for a shorter registration process.)

 

You will be asked to complete Step 1: About you & Step 2 Your address. You will be asked to read the Terms & Conditions and click to confirm your details are correct. The next screen is optional and you can complete or ignore before clicking Complete Registration

 

You will receive 2 two emails from mygovscot to the email address you entered when you registered – bear in mind they may go to your junk mail folder

 

The first email will confirm your username and the second will give you a one-time password.

 

Step 3:  Follow the instructions in the email by clicking on the link and entering the temporary password. You will then be asked to provide a permanent password. Click Submit and you will be taken to the Consent page. Once you have clicked Accept you will be taken to the page where you can link your child(ren)

 

Step 4:

Enter your child’s LINK KEY from the letter you received from school into the Account Ref box and click Link Account.  If you have further children click Link Another Account and add the LINK KEY(S) for any additional children.

When you have selected Pay from the Aberdeenshire Council home page the video indicates you should click School Meals. It now says School Payments.
